Who We Are
Meimei & Feifei are a Lethbridge-based musical duo bringing together the sounds of East and West through guzheng and fingerstyle guitar. Our music blends the expressive character of Eastern music with the harmony, rhythm, and energy of Western styles, creating a sound that feels both distinctive and natural.
We have each spent more than fifteen years developing our own musical voice. After Meimei moved to Canada, we began exploring how guzheng and fingerstyle guitar could work together—not simply as melody and accompaniment, but as two equal voices that respond to and complement each other.
The guzheng brings expressive bends, resonance, and delicate textures, while fingerstyle guitar contributes harmony, rhythm, bass, percussion, and melody. Through original music and our own arrangements, we aim to create a contemporary sound that connects Eastern and Western musical traditions in a way that feels personal and uniquely ours.
